I made this collage with random odds and ends from around the art room. It started off pretty simple, but the more things i added, the more character the piece took on.
This is a small collage i made in class. I didn't really plan out this piece, it was really an experimentation with crackle paint and wax. It was fun, and i really love buttons - a lot!
I completed this piece during class. I wasn't really going for a particular theme, i just went crazy! It was good for me, and i think the result is bold.
I made this collage at home in a couple nights - rushing to have another piece for Scholastic. It's a fun, light hearted piece. I'll probably work back into it some later.
I worked from a personal photograph. I've had to experiment with different techniques and therefore there are many layers, giving this piece a desired thick texture. I may work into this painting again later, i'm not sure if it will ever truly be completed.
This is an important piece to me. I made it the first couple days coming back from the Christmas break. It's Mrs. Childer's favorites of my works - it speaks.
I started this book early on in the school year and have continued to work on it all year. It's become a sort of journal for me. It's by far the most personal and therapeutic piece i've ever done.
I took this picture in Costa Rica a number of years ago. I wanted to achieve a freeing, wide open space feel through painting. It's not quite finished yet - it needs more layers of colors.
I started this piece this summer at a friend's house. I went completely crazy - and it was the most fun i've ever had! Since then i've been exploring this style.

This class assignment which involved researching an artist's self portrait. The first panel is a copy of what the portrait actually looked like, and the other two panels are a different interpretation on the piece.
This was a quick assignment for class. To answer a common question - no, i don't know this kid; I refered to a picture from a free stock photography site.
This is the third piece in my portrait series. The picture is of one of my roommates at CCAD. In all, this took me a lot longer than i had anticipated, but i like the way it came out.
This was another collage i did in my digital photography class. We used imagines taken with pinhole cameras. I'm proud of myself for completing an abstract piece!
Yet another self portrait assignment for class. I painted most of this over the thanksgiving break at my grandparent's house. I made final touches just in time to send it off to Montevallo for the district show (yes, still wet!).
